DEALING WITH THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC — A MIXED BLESSING FOR FIBER ARTISTS
We know that many of you are taking this time of self-isolation and “shelter-at-home” to catch up on your knitting, crocheting, and weaving projects. Maybe you have found, as I have, that this forced time at home is allowing me “guilt-free” time to knit, weave, and plan new projects. Truly a blessing in the midst of world-wide chaos! However, as you may also have discovered, prolonging sitting and the repetitive, fine motor motions necessary to accomplish these crafts can lead to cramped fingers, sore hands and wrists and aching necks and shoulders. To help with these conditions and keep you crafting longer, please click on our recent posts in the NEWS and UPDATES section of this website. We have you covered with simple exercises that you can do from your chair, couch or loom bench!
Some of you may also have discovered that your guilty pleasure (vice) of purchasing whatever new yarn or fiber catches your eye — regardless of whether or not you have a specific project in mind — has turned out to be a blessing in these stay-at-home times. That seemingly endless “stash” is now the source of new inspiration and a resource to keep you engaged and busy. Personally, I know that I could be homebound for months without running out of my most critical supply. (Yes, even more important to me than toilet paper!) However, if you fall into the category of those who have better self-control than I do — and you find yourself running short of yarn or other critical fiber art supplies, please check out our online store or give us a call at 970-484-1998. We still have you covered, and will work with you to make sure you have more to do at home than binge on Netflix reruns.
