Have you ever wondered how those gorgeous “handspun” yarns were created? Do you want to make your own variations of yarn colors, fibers, textures, and weights? We’ll start with local alpaca fleece. Learn to wash, card and blend with silk and cashmere or yak…spin your unique blend into amazing handspun yarns.
Inkle Loom Weaving: $98 class with yarn purchase; inkle looms available for purchase.
Inkle Weaving is a type of warp-faced weaving where the warp threads are moved up and down, while the weft remains fixed. Using a small, portable and affordable inkle loom, you can weave a variety of belts, straps, dog collars and necklaces.
Navajo Weaving: $98 class with yarn purchase. Includes use of loom.
In Navajo Weaving, as in other tapestry weaving, the warp is completely hidden. Navajo textiles typically have strong geometric patterns. We will learn traditional techniques for creating typical Navajo patterns and colors.
Macrame’ All Levels: $98 class — supplies for purchase in your choice of colors.
Macrame’ is a form of textile created by knotting, rather than knitting or weaving. In this class, we will learn Modern Knotting and Macrame’ skills. You will find that — with steady practice — there are many opportunities for growth with this very simple discipline. We will apply this practical skill to creating planters and artistic basketry.
- Loom Weaving for Kids: $98 class. Purchase your choice of a peg loom or small loom. Ages 6 and up.
Weaving with a peg loom is as easy as “over, under, over, under”. Learn to weave a wallhanging, small rug or purse.
Felted Slippers: $98 class with fiber purchase.
In the Felted Slippers class, you will learn the principles of wet felting and create a cozy set of felted slippers for you or one of your loved ones! Class will be held over two sessions.
Tapestry Weaving: $98 class with yarn purchase. Includes use of loom.
In Tapestry Weaving, the warp is completely hidden allowing for your spectacular image to be displayed. We will learn tapestry weaving techniques, including knotted tassels, soumak, pick and pick, hatching, and interlock. These techniques will help you to create unique tapestries. Experiment with color, texture, and fiber.
Knit Christmas Stockings: $98 class plus; discount on yarns purchased for the class.

Get a head start on creating your own one-of-a-kind stocking for that special child, grandchild, or the Christmas elf in your life. Choose your favorite holiday patterns from our kit selections. You can even personalize the stocking with a name and/or date.
