  • Learn to Knit:  $98 class includes your first project supplies.

Tuesdays, May 2, 9, 16   10:00 am to 11:00 am      Wednesdays, May 3, 10, 17  11:00 am to 12:00 pm   Skill Level:  Beginner to Advancing Beginner

Relax with the rhythmic, calming motions of knitting. For your first project, choose a hat, scarf, dish cloth, or a pair of mittens.  If you already have a few skills, we’ll help you advance.

 

  • Knitting Top Down Sweaters or Two-At-A-Time Socks:   $98 class with yarn purchase.  Pattern books available for optional purchase.

Tuesdays, May 2, 9, 16  1:00 pm to 3:00 pm      Skill Level:  Advanced Beginner

Ready to tackle a pair of socks or a sweater?  This class is for you!  Learn to Knit Two-At-A-Time Socks or Top Down Sweaters on a circular needle.

 

  • Learn to Weave:   $98 class includes use of store loom, 15% discount on project yarns.

Tuesdays, May 2, 9, 16  2:00 pm to 4:00 pm      Wednesdays, May 3, 10, 17  10:00 am to 12:00 pm     Skill Level: Beginner

Enjoy a month of weaving.  Instruction covers everything you need to know about basic drafts, design, and the successful warping and weaving of your project.  Instruction is individualized and responsive to the experience and interest of the student.  Choose to learn on a beautiful floor or simple table loom.

 

  • Learn to Crochet:   $98 class includes your first project supplies.

Wednesdays, May 3, 10, 17  12:00 pm to 1:00 pm   Skill Level:  Beginner

The Learn to Crochet beginner class series will teach you the basic stitches and techniques you need to know to crochet a facecloth or dishcloth.  After completing this 3-session class, you will be well on your way to crocheting beautiful accessories or blankets.

 

  • Learn to Spin Basics:   $98 class includes 3 classes with starter fibers, and use of equipment.

Wednesdays, May 3, 10, 17  3:00 pm to 4:00 pm       Thursdays, May 4, 11, 18  3:00 pm to 4:00 pm      Skill Level:  Beginner

Have you ever wondered how those gorgeous “handspun” yarns were created?  Design your own custom yarn.  Enjoy blending colors and textures of wonderful fibers. We will start with sheep fleece.  Learn to wash, card and blend with silk and cashmere or yak…spin your unique blend into amazing handspun yarns.

 

  • Navajo and Tapestry Weaving:   $98 class with yarn purchase.  Includes use of loom.

Thursdays, May 4, 11, 18  10:00 am to 12:00 pm       Saturdays, May 6, 13, 20  3:00 pm to 5:00 pm    Skill Level:  All Levels

In Navajo and Tapestry weaving, the warp is completely hidden allowing for your creative designs to be displayed.  This weaving style has a long and rich history. The word tapestry comes from the Old French tapisserie, meaning “to cover with heavy fabric, to carpet”.  Tapestries have been used since at least Hellenistic times.  Navajo textiles typically have strong geometric patterns.  In this class, we will learn tapestry weaving techniques, including knotted tassels, soumak, pick and pick, hatching, and interlock.  Experiment with color, texture, and fiber.  A variety of loom sizes are available for purchase.

 

  • Learn to Crochet or Tunisian Crochet:   $98 class includes your first project supplies.

Thursdays, May 4, 11, 18  12:00 pm to 1:00 pm   Skill Level:  Beginner

Choose to learn traditional crochet, using a crochet hook to make consecutive loops, working one loop at a time.  Or learn Tunisian crochet (also known as Afghan crochet), which uses an elongated hook that allows you to keep several stitches on the hook, like in knitting.  After completing this 3-session class, you will be well on your way to crocheting beautiful accessories or blankets.

 

  • Needle Felting for Kids of All Ages:   $98 class includes materials for first project.

Saturdays, May 6, 13, 20  9:00 am to 10:00 am      Skill Level:  All Levels

Needle felting uses needles and loose wool fibers to shape sculptures.  Learn to create amazing animals, birds, magical flowers, and more to decorate your home or give as gifts.

 

  • Modern Knotting and Macrame’:  $98 class — supplies for purchase in your choice of colors.

Saturdays, May 6, 13, 20  10:00 am to 11:30 am      Skill Level:  All Levels

Macrame’ is a form of textile created by knotting, rather than knitting or weaving.  In this class, we will learn Modern Knotting and Macrame’ skills.  You will find that — with steady practice — there are many opportunities for growth with this very simple discipline.  We will apply this practical skill to creating planters and artistic basketry.

 

  • Rigid Heddle Weaving:   $98 class. Purchase a loom before classes start and your first yarns will be provided from a beautiful array of choices.

Saturdays, May 6, 13, 20  1:00 pm to 3:00 pm      Skill Level:  All Levels

Rigid Heddle Weaving is a low cost and easy introduction to weaving.  The rigid heddle is a small, simple, and easy to use loom.  In this class, you will learn how to warp the loom weaving and finish techniques, as well as the carious components of a rigid heddle loom.  Create a sampler incorporating hand-controlled patterns that emphasize color and texture.

 

  • First Friday Spin In!

Friday, May 5  1:00 pm to 3:00 pm  Open to all spinners — new or experienced.

What could be better than spinning with friends? Bring your spinning wheel, and fibers.  Stay for the afternoon, and enjoy the fun and comradery with fellow spinners!

 

  • Tea Time: Group Therapy and Good Times!

Fridays, May 5, 12, 19, 26 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm  Tea Times are free and open to everyone.

Enjoy organic Rishi teas, baked goods, and conversation while you knit, crochet, weave and spin. Tea times are free and open to everyone interested. Informal and relaxing!
