Yarns, Knitwear, Classes and much more
Beginner to Intermediate. So you’ve mastered basic crochet skills and want to expand your
repertoire of techniques. This class is for you! Tunisian crochet combines the best of knitting and
crochet – it uses a hook, but you keep several stitches on the hook, like knitting. Learn these
skills while creating a placemat with two skeins of cotton/linen yarn (yarn included with class).
Did you know? Tunisian crochet is also known as Afghan crochet. The technique uses an elongated hook that allows several stitches to be kept on the hook while creating a variety of stitches, including variations of the familiar knitting stitches such as knit and purl. The fabric created by Tunisian crochet is slightly less elastic than that created by traditional crochet, and substantially thicker.
