$88.00

In this Natural Yarn and Fiber Introduction class, you will become more knowledgeable about fiber types and yarn properties. Booklet and numerous samples included.

Since prehistoric times, natural fibers have been used to create clothing and other textiles.  Natural sources of fiber to make yarn include both plants and animals. Fibers from plants include cotton, linen, flax, hemp, and jute.  These fibers are made up of cellulose. Animal fibers, such as wool, mohair, and silk, are made of protein. The properties of yarns spun from natural fibers are a result of the materials they come from.
