Yarns, Knitwear, Classes and much more
An event every week that begins at 12:00 pm on Saturday, repeating until November 20, 2021
In Navajo Weaving, as in other tapestry weaving, the warp is completely hidden. Navajo textiles typically have strong geometric patterns. Traditional Navajo weaving used upright looms with no moving parts. The weaver sat on the floor while weaving, wrapping the finished portion of the fabric underneath the loom.
Skill Level: All Levels
In this class, we will learn traditional techniques for creating typical Navajo patterns and colors. Class is $98 with yarn purchase. Includes use of loom.
