Description
This easy-to-wear, fashionable Cotton Tunic is the type of hand-knit clothing item that looks more difficult to create than it actually is. This is an easy project, knit entirely in stockinette stitch with Lambspun’s hand-dyed organic cotton yarns. The pattern was designed specifically for Lambspun by Larissa Breloff.
Did you know? Tunics, simple garments that reach from the shoulders to a length somewhere between the hips and the ankles, have been worn as a basic item of clothing since ancient times. The name derives from the Latin “tunica”. These garments were worn by both men and women in ancient Rome from about the 3rd century BCE. The social status of the wearer was indicated by the length and width of the garment, presence or absence of stripes, and ornamentation. Something to think about while you are wearing your very modern and stylish Cotton Tunic!
